A mother and her 5 year old son are in a serious but stable condition following a collision between two light motor vehicles on Inanda Road this afternoon (2015/04/30).
Crisis Medical Paramedics arrived on scene to find two light motor vehicles had collided head on.
The mother and son, both passengers in one of the vehicles sustained serious head injuries and advanced life support intervention was required to stabilize them before they were placed on specialized stretchers and transported to a near by hospital for further care.
The drivers of both vehicles as well as a passenger sustained minor soft tissue injuries only and were assessed and treated on scene.
Traffic was severely affected as emergency workers worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the collision is unclear and the necessary authorities are investigating further.
