A biker is in a critical condition after an accident along Bokmakierie Street, Dorandia, Pretoria late last night. A report from the scene is that the bike was hurtling down the road when he veered off and collided with a lamppost. Exact detail as to what caused the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the crumpled remains of the bike had come to rest in the centre of the roadway, the injured man was found several meters away with life threatening injuries.
Paramedics worked fervently to stabilise the biker on scene and after skilfully immobilising him on a trauma board, the transported the patient to a local hospital for the care that he required.
