Two men in their 50s were killed this afternoon when their vehicle drove down an embankment and into a concrete barrier off Puffontein Road in Benoni.
ER24 paramedics arrived on scene and found the vehicle down a small embankment, smashed against a number of concrete barriers.
On assessment, paramedics found the bodies of two males in their 50s lying in the front of the vehicle. Unfortunately both men had sustained fatal injuries in the collision.
A female (30s) passenger was found sitting in the back of the vehicle showing only minor injuries.
The patient was carefully removed from the vehicle, treated for her injuries and thereafter transported to Sunshine Hospital for further observations.
It is understood that the vehicle had crossed over a t-junction, down the embankment and into the barriers.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
