Villeria bike collision leaves two injured

Two people were seriously injured after a bike slammed into the side of a vehicle at the intersection of Nico Smith Street and 28th Ave Villeria, Pretoria, this morning just after 07h30. A report from the scene is that the bike was traveling down the road when a car came out of a side road when the accident happened, however exact detail to the cause of the accident will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.

Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found accident debris and the twisted frame of the bike and car obstructing the roadway. The female driver from the care was still trapped in the wreckage while the biker came to rest about ten meters from the scene.

After medics deftly immobilised the injured on trauma boards, they transported the patients to nearby hospitals under the constant care of advanced life support paramedics for the specialised care that they required.
