Twelve people have been injured after six cars collided on the M13 West Bound between Essex Terrace and Rockdale Avenue just after 7am this morning.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on scene to find that six vehicles had collided and one had overturned coming to rest on its roof. A total of twelve people had sustained minor to moderate injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
A this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
Traffic was severely affected as emergency personal worked to clear the scene.
