Sixteen people were injured following a side impact crash on Johan Vorster Road and Logan Avenue in Highveld, Centurion this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a minibus crashed against the side of a motor vehicle in the intersection. The minibus then proceeded to overturn and came to a standstill on its side.
Upon assessment of all the occupants, paramedics found that sixteen people sustained injuries ranging from moderate to serious during the crash. The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
