A man was injured following an accident on the N3 Durban bound just before the Cato Ridge offramp this evening.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a light delivery vehicle left the roadway and crashed against a concrete object on the centre median in the roadway.
Upon assessment of the male driver, paramedics found that the man sustained serious injuries during the crash.
The man was treated at the scene, immobilised on a trauma board and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
