A woman was injured following an accident on the N2 south bound near Umhlali this afternoon.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that two motor vehicles were involved in a rear-end accident resulting in a motor vehicle overturning.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that the woman travelling in the motor vehicle that overturned, sustained serious injuries during the rollover accident. The motor vehicle came to a standstill next to the roadway.
The injured woman was treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
