A man who sustained critical injuries after he crashed into a bridge pillar on Allandale Road in Midrand was airlifted to hospital by ER24.
The incident took place between the K101 and Alsatian Road.
When ER24 paramedics, and Fire and Rescue Services, arrived on scene they found the man trapped in the car.
He was rapidly extricated by paramedics.
He was assessed and found to have sustained critical injuries. He was treated and airlifted to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations.
