A man was killed this afternoon after a truck and bakkie collided head-on on the R23 in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with Life Healthcare, arrived on scene and found both vehicles in the middle of the road. Car parts from both vehicles were spread across the scene.
On assessment, paramedics found the lifeless body of the driver trapped inside his bakkie. Unfortunately the patient had already succumbed to his multiple fatal injuries.
The driver of the truck fortunately did not sustain any injuries.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
