Two people were injured in a head on collision along the R102 in Shakaskraal this morning at around 10h50. Exact detail to the cause of the accident and preceding events is still sketchy and will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway obstructed with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles, some of the injured were still trapped in the wreckages. Paramedics worked tirelessly to stabilised the two seriously injured patients at the scene, after immobilising them on trauma boards and removing them from the twisted frames of the vehicles, they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
