An eighty-year-old man was critically injured after he was hit by a truck along Marine Drive in Uvongo this morning. A report indicates that the man was trying to cross the roadway when he stepped in front of a heavy goods truck.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the man lying in the roadway with life threatening injuries. After he was stabilised at the scene and deftly immobilised on a trauma board they transported him to a nearby hospital under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic for the specialised care that he required.
