Crash victim airlifted from the R24 about 3km outside Magaliesburg

ER24 airlifted a truck driver who sustained critical injuries on the R24 about 3km outside Magaliesburg, direction Johannesburg, earlier this morning.

It is understood the vehicle rolled when the driver lost control of it.

Paramedics arrived on scene and found the truck on its side.

The driver, who was flung out of the vehicle, was found several metres away from the truck. He was assessed and treated for critical injuries before being airlifted to hospital. A passenger in the truck was also injured. He sustained moderate injuries.

He was treated and transported to hospital by ambulance.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations.
