Five people were injured after a utility vehicle overturned on Zambesi Drive in Cullinan.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that the utility vehicle left the roadway, overturned and came to a standstill on its wheels in the field area next to the roadway.
Upon assessment of the occupants, paramedics found that two woman and three men sustained serious injuries during the rollover accident.
All five patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover accident and preceding events are still unknown and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
