Two men were injured following an accident at the corners or Marine Drive and Bond Street in Uvongo in the early morning hours of this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a motor vehicle had left the roadway, rolled down a grass embankment and came to a standstill next to a fence at the bottom of the embankment.
Upon assessment of the two male occupants, paramedics found that one man sustained serious injuries while the second occupant sustained minor to moderate injuries during the rollover crash.
Both patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rollover accident and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
