A man has sustained serious injuries in an accident along the R102 in Wydenham on the Natal south coast this morning A report from the scene indicate that the vehicle was traveling toward Durban and while rounding a bend it veered off the roadway and collided with the Armco Barriers. The force of the impact was so great the front of the vehicle broke up and was found spread over an area of about 50 meters.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the driver had been ejected from the wreckage and was lying in the thick undergrowth next to the roadway, the wreckage was found several meters away . After medics treated the man at the scene, they transported him to an area hospital for the care that he required.
