Two people have tragically died after a truck and a bus collided on the N12 between Ventersdorp and Coligny this morning. A report from the scene indicates that the vehicles was traveling in very thick mist when the accident occurred, exact detail however will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the police arrived at the scene and found the roadway littered with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles. The bus had overturned on impact and was found on its roof on the verge, miraculously the driver escaped with no injuries.
The truck cab had disintegrated and the two occupants tragically died due to the extensive injuries that they sustained. A light motor vehicle was involved in the accident but the occupants escaped unharmed.
