Secunda Flying Squad Unit members arrests two men in possession of stolen property

The Secunda Flying Squad Unit members arrested two men in possession of stolen property.

The members were on routine patrol when they spotted a suspicious looking VW Caddy with two occupants on the R548 Road between Devon and Balfour. During the search, police discovered that it was loaded with 19 boxes filled with cigarettes worth R700 000-00 and failed to produce documentation of the loot on request by the police.

A jamming device was also found. The cigarettes, jamming device and the vehicle were seized and the suspects were detained at Devon police cells. The men in blue further uncovered that the cigarettes were stolen during an armed robbery at Free State on the same day.
