Three injured in truck collision, Western Cape

Three people were injured this afternoon when a truck collided with three bakkie on the N2 in the Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found the jack-knifed truck sitting in the middle of the road. Another two bakkies were found on the road while a third had rolled off the road some distance away.

On assessment, paramedics found that three people from the bakkies had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately no-one had sustained any injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Groote Schuur Hospital for further assessment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
