Two children critical, one airlifted from Diepsloot collision

An adult and two children were left in a critical condition after a head on collision on the R511 at Mnandi Road in Diepsloot this evening.

At approximately 6pm paramedics from ER24 and other services arrived on the scene where they found that a Toyota Corolla and an Isuzu bakkie collided head on with each other. It is believed that occupants from both vehicles were ejected during the collision.

Five other patients were found on scene with moderate injuries. They were all assessed and treated for various injuries before being transported to hospital.

The exact cause of the incident is not yet known. The incident was handed over to the local Johannesburg Metro Police that attended the incident.
