A driver and his passenger have been left with moderate injuries only after the breaks allegedly failed in the vehicle they were traveling in along Kingklip Avenue in Newlands East this afternoon (2015/06/11).
The driver reported to have discovered the breaks were not working as he drove down the hill, he decided to steer the vehicle off the road to avoid a collision with other motorists. The vehicle came to a rest down an embankment.
Both the driver and his passenger were treated on scene for moderate injuries before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care by Crisis Medical.
