Two people seriously injured after T Bone collision

Two females have been injured after the vehicle they were in was T Boned at the intersection of Nicholson Road and Deodar Avenue in Glenwood just after 4pm on Sunday.

Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that two vehicles had collided in a T Bone form. Two occupants of the one vehicle were severely entrapped in the wreckage and the Durban Fire Department was called to assist in cutting them free. Paramedics and fire fighters worked for close to an hour to stabilize the two before using the Jaws of life to free them from the mangled wreckage.

Once the patients had been cut free they were transported by Rescue Cares Advanced Life Support Paramedics to a nearby private hospital for the further care that they required.

At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
