Eight people have been injured, one seriously so after a taxi and a car collided on Umgeni Road near Harvey Road just before 5am this morning.
Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find that a taxi and a car had collided before the taxi had overturned coming to rest on its roof. A total of eight people from both vehicles had sustained various injuries and were stabilized on the scene before being transported to various Durban Hospitals for the further care that they required.
At this stage it is unclear what caused the collision however the necessary authorities were on scene and will be investigating further.
