KZN Emergency Medical Services have responded to the N2 about one kilometre past Izingolweni, in the Ugu district, where there has been a crash involving five vehicles.
Paramedics assessed the occupants of the vehicles and found that a lady had sustained serious injuries during the crash. She was treated on scene by KZN EMS paramedics before being transported to hospital for continued medical care.
The police are investigating the circumstances resulting in the crash.
