Three people tragically lost their lives following an accident on the R61 near the Shelley Beach Tollgate on the KZN South Coast this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that two vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles overturned and came to a standstill on its roof. Both vehicles burst into flames following the impact.
The fire department crew members on scene extinguished the blazing fires and upon investigation, services found that three people lost their lives during the blazing fires.
Traffic is severely affected as a result of the crash.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the crash and preceding events are still unclear at this stage and will remain the subject of a police investigation.
