A man believed to be in his late fifties was killed when he was struck by a speeding motor vehicle on North Coast Road Saturday morning.
Crisis Medical paramedics were called to the scene and found the man laying approximately fifteen meters from the point where the vehicle struck him. Unfortunately he had already succumb to his extensive injuries and nothing could be done to assist him. He was declared dead on arrival.
The driver and single occupant of the light motor vehicle sustained no injuries.
The local authorities were on scene and an investigation into the case is underway.
