Last night paramedics from KZN Emergency Medical Services responded to the N2 near Kwiliza, in the Umkhanyakude district, where there had been a crash, reportedly involving a truck and car.
When paramedics assessed the injured patients they found that sadly a man, estimated to be about 35 years old, had been killed and that two other patients had sustained serious injuries. Paramedics treated the surviving patients on scene before transporting them to Ngwelezane hospital for continued medical care.
The police are investigating the circumstances resulting in the crash.
