Three people were injured following a crash on Ouklip Road near CR Swart Road in Wilropark, Roodepoort at around midnight this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics, its rescue unit, other services and the Roodepoort Fire Department arrived at the scene and found that two vehicles were involved in the crash. One of the vehicles overturned and came to a standstill on its roof.
Upon assessment of the occupants paramedics found that two people sustained serious injuries and one person sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The door of one of the vehicles were opened by Jaws of Life to enable the injured patient to be removed from the vehicle.
The injured patients were treated at the scene and preceding events will remain the subject of a police investigation.
