Crisis Medical responded to three motor vehicle collisions on the M4 between La Lucia and Umhlanga Rocks on Friday evening.
In the first collision a light motor vehicle collided with a mini bus taxi before speeding off and losing control further down the road, causing the vehicle to careen off the road way into the bushes on the embankment.
The driver of the light motor vehicle sustained moderate injuries, no one was injured in the minibus.
Further down the highway a bakkie collided into the rear of a light motor vehicle, leaving the driver with moderate injuries.
All were attended to on scene by Crisis Medical paramedics before being taken to a nearby hospital for further care.
