A Pietermaritzburg resident was left in shock after a vehicle crashed into his house this morning.
The driver had apparently lost control of the vehicle while on Kwapata Main Road in Kwapata. He went down an embankment and crashed into the house.
When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found several bystanders around the house. The driver of the vehicle was on the ground. He was assessed and found to have sustained moderate injuries.
The 31-year-old was treated and transported to the Edendale Hospital for further medical care. The owner of the house was shaken up.
He was also transported to hospital for observation.
The exact cause of what led to the driver of the vehicle losing control of the vehicle is unknown.
Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
