Eight people were injured during an accident on the M1 north bound just before the Woodmead offramp in Woodmead this morning.
Netcare 911 paramedics and other services arrived at the scene and found that a minibus had rear-ended a motor vehicle on the roadway. The minibus came to a standstill partially off the road.
Upon assessment of the all the occupants and commuters, paramedics found that eight people injuries ranging from minor to serious.
The injured patients were treated at the scene and transported to hospital for further medical care.
Exact detail surrounding the cause of the rear-end crash and preceding events are unknown and will remain the subject to of a police investigation.
