6 Children among 10 injured as taxi and delivery vehicle collide in Orange Grove

EMER-G-MED’s M01, A03, A09, A11 and provincial services responded to reports of a taxi accident on the corner of Louis Botha and 15th Street in Orange Grove.

On arrival paramedics found that a taxi full of school children had been t-boned by a light delivery vehicle, leaving ten people injured – including six children.

Paramedics immediately began triaging and treating the patients, finding that seven patients had sustained moderate injuries, and a further three had sustained minor injuries.

The patients were stabilised on-scene before being transported to various nearby facilities.

JMPD were on scene to investigate the events leading up to the collision.
