Cosmos City taxi collides with building, injuring 15

15 people were injured this morning after a taxi drove down an embankment and collided with a wall at the South Africa and Angola Road intersection in Cosmos City, Johannesburg.

ER24 paramedics, along with fire services, responded to the scene and found the taxi between the embankment wall and building.

All of the occupants from the taxi had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found sitting on the pavement.

On assessment, paramedic found that 15 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately no-one had sustained any serious injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients for their injuries and thereafter transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
