Fifteen people were injured after a taxi overturned on the N2 north near the Umgeni Road off ramp this evening at around 17h42. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation and comment.
Netcare 911 paramedics and the emergency services arrived at the scene and found that the wreckage of the taxi had come to rest on its side in the centre median. Paramedics stabilised the injured at the scene before transporting them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
