A thirty seven year old female has lost her life in a single vehicle accident on Queen Nandi Drive, Newlands East this evening.
Crisis Medical paramedics were called to the scene where a Toyota Run X had allegedly spun out on a corner before leaving the roadway and coming to rest against a wall.
On further examination it was discovered the driver had sustained traumatic injuries and there was nothing paramedics could do to assist her, she was declared deceased on arrival.
The cause of the incident and the facts surrounding it are unclear. The local authorities were on scene and an investigation into the scene is underway.
