A six – year – old school girl is fighting for her life after a pedestrian accident along Isipingo Old Main Road in Orient Hills this afternoon. Netcare 911 paramedics were driving along the road when they noticed that the child was lying in the roadway with a crowd gathered around her.
On investigating, it was found that the child was a victim of a hit and run collision and had sustained life-threatening injuries. Paramedics worked fervently at the scene to stabilise the child and after placing her on a manual ventilator, and immobilising her on a trauma board, they transported the critically wounded child to a nearby hospital for the care that she required.
