A pedestrian was critically injured when he was knocked down by a vehicle on Milky Way Road in Mariannhill, in Pinetown on Saturday evening.
ER24 and VEMA paramedics attended to the patient. Upon assessment they found that the man, believed to be between the ages of 30 and 40, had sustained multiple injuries.
He was treated and transported to the R K Khan Hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations.
