A man believed to be in his late twenties has been killed when a light motor vehicle struck him in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man was struck while attempting to cross the busy M19 road way just after the new interchange.
The man suffered severe head injuries and was declared dead on arrival by Crisis Medical paramedics.
The local authorities were on scene and are investigating the incident further.
