A roll-over accident along the M1 at Bayview has left one person seriously injured last night at around 22h17. Exact detail to the cause of the accident is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics and their rescue unit arrived at the scene and found the vehicle to have come to test on its roof with a patient still trapped in the wreckage. The Netcare 911 rescue officer used the Jaws of Life to free the patient while medics worked fervently to stabilise him.
After the patient was extricated and immobilised on a trauma board, they transported him to a local hospital for the care that he required.
