One man died, another sustained serious injuries and a pregnant woman sustained moderate injuries in a head on collision in Edendale Road in Pietermaritzburg earlier this evening.
When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found a man lying on the road.
Paramedics assessed the man. Unfortunately there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He had sustained multiple severe injuries. He was declared dead.
Another man was assessed and treated for serious injuries while the woman was treated for moderate injuries.
The woman is believed to be about six months pregnant. She and the man who was seriously injured were transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of the collision is unknown however authorities were on scene for further investigations.
