A man is in a critical condition this evening after he was hit by a bakkie on the R42 Barrage Road in Vaderbijlpark.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found a male patient lying on the slipway near one of the offramps.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained severe injuries to his legs and head.
Treatment and advanced life support interventions were performed on the patient. Once stable, he was transported to Sebokeng Hospital for urgent treatment.
The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately did not sustained any injuries.
Local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
