A man sustained life-threatening injuries after he fell from a bakkie along Ocean Drive in Salt Rock this afternoon at around 17h00. Reports from the scene are that the bakkie was travelling along Ocean Terrace when the man fell off the back of the bakkie and landed in the roadway.
Netcare 911 paramedics and another service arrived at the scene and found the critically injured man lying in the roadway. After placing him on a ventilator and skilfully immobilising him on a trauma board, they transported the patient to a local hospital for the care that he required.
