Three injured in mutiple vehicle collision after attempt at getaway in Parktown

This afternoon EMER-G-MED’s M01 and A11 responded to reports of a serious MVA on the corners of Empire and Victoria in Parktown.

On arrival it was found that six vehicles had been involved in the collision, leaving three people with minor to moderate injuries.

It is alleged that a vehicle was chasing the green Mercedes as the driver had been robbed by the occupants of the Mercedes a few days prior. The SAPS noticed the vehicles racing down Empire Road and gave chase. At the intersection the Mercedes skipped the traffic light and collided with four other vehicles.

EMER-G-MED along with other services transported the injured patients to a nearby facility for further management.

JMPD as well as SAPS were on-scene to investigate the collision as well as to make the relevant arrests.
