The driver of a car sustained critical injuries when he lost control of the vehicle on Ventersdorp Road about 30km from Potchefstroom early this morning.
When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene they found that the car had veered off the road and rolled several metres away from the road. The driver, who was ejected from the vehicle, was found lying face down several metres away.
Paramedics assessed the man, believed to be in his 20’s, and found that he was in a critical condition. He was treated and transported to hospital for further medical care.
The exact cause of what led to the incident is unknown. Authorities were on scene for further investigations.
