Roodepan police confisticate drugs worth R 11 350-00

On Sunday, 11 October 2015 at about 14:20 members of Roodepan Crime Prevention were on duty busy with their routine patrols around Roodepan, when they received a tip off from community members regarding drugs at a house in Canary Street, Roodepan.

The information was followed up and the house was searched and 47 Mandrax tablets,13 straws of Tik,03 quarter of Mandrax tablets, 07 half Mandrax tablets and a small plastic containing Tik weighing 0.006kg were recovered in the house.

The police also recovered a cellphone and undisclosed amount of cash. Two women aged between 22 and 29 years old were arrested. Drugs with estimated street value of R11 350-00 and cash were confiscated by the police.

Suspects will appear in before the Kimberley Magistrate’s Court soon, on a charge of possession of drugs.
