Spaghetti junction taxi crash leaves 16 injured

This morning at 06h00 Netcare 911 paramedics received  a call for a taxi that had overturned on the Spaghetti junction bridge  linking the N3 with the N2 north. Reports from the scene indicate that the wheel burst as the taxi was rounding the bend causing it to roll several times.

Netcare 911 paramedics and several other services arrived at the scene and after triaging found that sixteen commuters were injured, one critically while fifteen had injuries ranging from serious to minor.

Paramedics stabilised all the injured at the scene before they transported them to various hospitals for the care that they required.
