Three people tragically died in a head-on crash along the R76 about fifteen kilometres from Viljoenskroon in the Free State in the early hours of this morning. Details to the cause of the crash are still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the roadway to be obstructed with accident debris and the crumpled remains of the vehicles. After triaging medics found that tree people had tragically died on impact while a fourth person sustained moderate injuries. Medics stabilised the injured on scene before transporting the patient to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
