15 injured people including children injured in Ladysmith rear-end collision

15 people were injured this afternoon, including 6 children, after a rear-end collision between a bakkie and minibus on the R103 Harrysmith Road, 10 kilometres outside of Ladysmith.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on scene and found the bakkie parked on the side of the road while the minibus was on the side of the road.

On assessment, paramedics found that 15 people had been injured in the collision, including 6 children aged between 4 and 7.

Fortunately, the injuries sustained were only minor. No serious or fatal injuries were found on scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals for further care.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
