Man critically injured in bakkie and truck collision in Tembisa

A man who sustained critical injuries in a collision earlier this morning on Zuurfontein and Ossewa streets in the Tembisa area was airlifted to hospital.

ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found that a bakkie and truck were involved in a collision.

Two men believed to be in their 30’s were ejected from the bakkie.

They were assessed by paramedics.

One was found to have sustained critical injuries and the other sustained minor injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients. The man who sustained critical injuries was airlifted and the other who sustained minor injuries was transported to hospital by ambulance.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.

Authorities were on scene to investigate.
