At 01h57 Netcare 911 paramedics received a call for a shooting incident at the Waterkloof Junction Complex in Pretoria. Exact detail to the cause of the shooting and preceding events is still speculative and will remain a subject for police investigation.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found one man to have sustained life-threatening injuries, one man had died before our arrival and one was in a serious condition. Paramedics worked fervently for some time to resuscitate the critically wounded security officer at the scene but despite their efforts the man died at the scene. The seriously wounded man was treated at the scene before paramedics transported him to a local hospital for further care.
